This Privacy Policy describes how Kendrick Inc. (“Kendrick,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a California C corporation, collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Kendrick website-building service (“Service”).

1. Information We Collect

• Email address — used to create your account, authenticate you, and send transactional emails (confirmations, previews, notifications).
• Email content and attachments — the text, images, and files you send to Kendrick as part of your website-building requests.
• Website content — the pages, text, and images that make up your generated website.
• Usage data — technical information such as request timestamps, page views, and error logs collected automatically by our hosting infrastructure.
• Payment information — if you subscribe to a paid plan, payment details are collected and processed by our third-party payment processor (Stripe). We do not store your credit card number.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To build, host, and serve your websites as requested.
• To send you transactional emails about your account and sites (confirmations, previews, notifications, billing).
• To enforce our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.
• To improve, maintain, and protect the Service.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We share information with the following categories of service providers, solely for the purpose of operating the Service:

• Cloudflare — hosting, DNS, content delivery, DDoS protection, and Turnstile human verification.
• AI providers — your text instructions and, where applicable, uploaded images are sent to third-party AI services (large language models and image generation APIs) to generate website content. These providers process your data according to their own privacy policies.
• Stripe — payment processing for paid subscriptions.
• Email delivery — transactional email service for sending confirmations, previews, and notifications.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

4. Cookies and Tracking

Kendrick does not set first-party tracking cookies. The Cloudflare Turnstile verification widget may set functional cookies necessary for human verification. No advertising or analytics tracking cookies are used.

5. Data Retention

• Active accounts — your data is retained for as long as your account is active.
• Deleted sites — when you delete a site, it is soft-deleted and retained for 15 days (during which you can restore it via the rescue link), then permanently deleted.
• Closed accounts — upon account closure, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except as required to comply with legal obligations.
• Logs — anonymized operational logs may be retained for up to 90 days for debugging and security purposes.

6. Your Rights

You may exercise any of the following rights by contacting us at support@kendrick.site:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Correction — request correction of inaccurate personal data.
• Opt out — you can stop using the Service and close your account at any time.

7. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell your personal information. To exercise your rights, contact us at support@kendrick.site.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@kendrick.site and we will promptly delete it.

9. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and secure access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International Data Transfers

The Service is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
